John leads infrastructure, compliance, and information security at Blue Ocean, with responsibility for ensuring secure, resilient, and compliant technology environments that meet both regulatory requirements and client security expectations. His role is central to protecting data, maintaining system integrity, and enabling secure service delivery across Blue Ocean’s operations.
With an engineering background, John brings a disciplined and optimization‑focused approach to infrastructure and security strategy. He is committed to implementing best‑in‑class technologies and controls that balance strong security, operational efficiency, and usability ensuring clients can trust Blue Ocean with their most sensitive information while frontline teams are supported by reliable, secure systems.
John joined Blue Ocean in 2001 and brings more than 35 years of experience in the technology sector. He is widely recognized as a trusted expert and change leader in contact center technology, infrastructure modernization, and security‑driven operational design.
John holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Dalhousie University and a Bachelor of Engineering from the Technical University of Nova Scotia (now Dalhousie University). He is also a registered member of Engineers Nova Scotia
